Aspen Plus Modelling Workshop

The Aspen Plus Workshop provides students with hands-on experience using Aspen Plus. Through a guided session, participants will develop process flow diagrams, select thermodynamic models, and simulate key unit operations such as reactors, distillation columns, and heat exchangers.

The workshop also covers useful built-in tools, like sensitivity analysis, design specifications, optimization blocks, convergence and troubleshooting techniques, and stream/property analysis tools for evaluating phase behavior and energy balance. Additionally, the economic evaluation tool using the Aspen Process Economic Analyzer will be showcased.

The workshop aims to strengthen students’ simulation & design skills, preparing them for CE courses, academic research, and industrial applications in Chemical engineering.
