About Us

The Art Perspective was created by Melissa Pappas and Hana Kanee in January, 2017. As one of the newest, yet most successful groups on campus, The Art Perspective is more than just free art materials. Our goal is to encourage fellow scientists at KAUST to find inspiration in the world of visual art. We believe that creating art helps relax our minds and boosts our creativity, two things that are very important in the lives of scientific researchers.

The Art Perspective hosts annual gallery exhibits of our members' works to showcase the artistic talent here at KAUST. We are small, but have already started growing our presence at KAUST. Our events are held on campus with plans to create a permanent Art Hub in the future. The continuous support from our members and Graduate Affairs has made the success of this group possible. We hope to continue making an impact on our KAUST community.
