Scrape Painting Workshop: Create your own textured abstract painting using recycled materials
Details
We’ll be working on recycled canvases left behind in the Art Studio, giving them new life through layers of color ✨
We will be covering different techniques using recycled materials, including:
• Acrylic Scraping: Begin by pouring drops of acrylic paint directly onto the canvas, then use a bank card, foam board or any straight-edged tool to spread and blend the colors. This creates smooth, radiant surfaces with natural transitions and beautiful gradients!
• Tactile Texturing: Experiment with unconventional tools, such as inflated gloves, poster foam boards, or wrinkled tissue paper to create irregular textures that enrich the surface.
By the end of the session, you will have created your own textured abstract painting using recycled materials! ✨
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter looking to experiment, this workshop is all about exploring different tools and giving them a second chance:)
