Niccolò Mengoni, former postdoc in ANPERC KAUST, is an Assistant Professor in Structural Geology at the University of Pavia, working on structural geology and geomechanics with a focus on fractured rocks and their applications. In his talk, he will present drone technologies and Digital Outcrop Modelling techniques, and show some possible applications in various geoscientific and geoengineering studies, such as tectonic reconstruction and carbon capture and storage (CCS).
