We are continuing our regular sessions for the 2024-2025 academic year. During our sessions, you will get to learn about the basics of Arabic calligraphy using various tools and styles. We first started with Diwani style and we are currently doing Naskh. Later on, we will move on to include Thuluth, Ruqaa, and Kufic styles, all being calligraphic varieties of the Arabic script. Next semester we will also include Latin scripts and discover Chinese calligraphy. We will also bring Pilot parallel pens to practice with inks easily.

Whether you want to simply watch the Club calligraphers writing or to practice by yourself, you are more than welcome! You do not need to have any prior knowledge of the Arabic language or calligraphy. Although we are a Student Organization, we are not limited to only hosting students as attendees, we can also welcome adult community members. Besides, each session is designed to work independently from one another, so you will never feel like you missed out on previous sessions even if it is your first time joining us. We also usually serve nice Arabic coffee, dates, and sweets during our sessions for everyone to enjoy.
