We're excited to invite you to join us for a special talk by Prof. Shadi Fatayer, KAUST faculty member and former researcher at ETH Zurich and IBM Research – Zurich, as he shares personal reflections and pivotal moments from his path to becoming an independent scientist. With a research focus on probing the fundamental properties of individual atoms and molecules on surfaces, Prof. Fatayer combines physics and chemistry to explore matter at the atomic scale using state-of-the-art scanning probe microscopy. This is a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from a KAUST professor, gain insights into early career research life, and ask questions in an open, interactive setting.
