Since its founding in 2016, Shortlist has worked with 1,000+ companies and 2,000,000+ job seekers across 30 countries. Before Shortlist, Paul was the Founder and Managing Director of Accion Venture Lab, a VC fund investing in inclusive fintech startups globally, and head of business development for SKS Microfinance in Hyderabad. He is an active local investor (25+ angel investments)and advisor to several African VC funds. He has also been a corporate lawyer and advertising account executive. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya. ## About Marwa Hammad Marwa Hammad is a dynamic emerging leader in the gender-energy nexus. With a Master’s degree in Development and Humanitarian Action from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Marwa channeled her dedication to women empowerment into initiating Schneider Electric's first global gender strategy to bridge the skills gap while fostering gender equality. This initiative is a cornerstone of the Youth Education and Entrepreneurship Program aimed at training 1 million youth in energy management by 2025, emphasizing the empowerment of young women through technical and vocational training, green skilling and entrepreneurship to shape a just energy transition. Additionally, she leads the Women in STEM Mentorship Program, which fosters empowering connections between established role models and aspiring young women in STEM schools and universities. The program focuses on dismantling stereotypes and reshaping social norms through community awareness thereby creating a self-sustaining cycle of empowerment and establishing Marwa as a key international advocate for education, climate justice and gender equality.
