Summary and objectives: The goal of this workshop is to help researchers improve their chances of publication success as well as maximize the impact of their research after publication. This workshop will provide practical insights and strategies to help attendees achieve this goal.
1. Enhancing academic writing and publishing with Generative AI
This section begins by emphasizing the importance of clearly communicating your ideas with effective writing. Then an overview of generative AI will be given as well as the available AI tools that can assist in academic writing. The ethical issues and policy considerations surrounding the use of AI in academic writing and publishing will be discussed.
1. Prompt Engineering for academic writing
This section will review basic prompt engineering techniques, followed by complex prompt patterns for specific use cases aimed at producing desired academic content outputs.
