Details

Tad Patzek is Professor of Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering Division at KAUST.

Between 1990 and 2014, He was a Professor of Geoengineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and Chairman of the Ptroleum and Geosystems Engineering Department at the University of Texas, Austin. Prior to joining Berkeley, He was a researcher at Shell Development.

Patzek's research focuses on fluid dynamics in soils and rocks, global sustainability issues, and the ecology of human survival. He is particularly interested in the potential of uncoventional hydrocarbons and carbonate reservoirs.
