This is an educational and adventurous day out! As part of our ongoing efforts to provide hands-on learning experiences, SPE is organizing a snorkeling trip to the Red Sea with Professor Volker Vahrenkamp as part of his Carbonate Geology class.

Cost: Free (lunch will be provided)
Eligibility: Open to all SPE members

This trip is a fantastic opportunity to explore the unique marine geology of the Red Sea while learning about carbonate environments in a hands-on setting. Whether you're a geology enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy the beautiful underwater ecosystem, this will be an unforgettable experience.

-You need to complete the Field Research Safety Awareness course from HSE KAUST. You may find the course through the course in the Salute platform (https://kaust.salutesafety.com/course/). If you haven't completed the course yet, you can still sign up and complete it before the trip.
-Ensure you bring appropriate swimwear, sun protection, and any personal items you may need for the day.
-Lunch will be provided during the trip.
