Overview

When working with other people you need to be able to communicate your ideas clearly, take responsibility, assert needs, and support one another.

In this workshop, you will learn how to communicate clearly with others, recognize confirming behavior and analyze challenging confrontational scenarios, and how to best manage those.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

• Identify key interpersonal skills and attributes that are required to work well with others

• Employ active listening and communication skills

• Recognise confirming behaviours when working with others

• Analyse challenging confrontational scenarios and how best to manage those

Teaching Fellow Imperial College London

Helal has a scientific background in education and research and currently works as a Teaching Fellow, specializing in personal and professional skills development at the Graduate School, Imperial College London. He delivers courses to Master's and Ph.D. students, ranging from Agile Project Management to Leadership Skills. Trained staff from HE institutions (e.g., Tsinghua University), research institutions (e.g., Institute of Cancer Research), and the government in Qatar (Supreme Council of Health). He is an Agile Project Management Practitioner and Belbin Team Role Coach.
