Students for Sustainability, with the lead of Mustakeem Mustakeem, a Ph.D. student in the Water Reuse and Desalination Center (WRDC), have planned exciting activities for all to reflect and celebrate the most precious element of life, water!. March 22nd marks the World Water Day, as you may have learned from the Community Life celebration post.

I am excited to invite you to join our activities below. Besides the ones listed below, I invite you to explore another side of campus by viewing the poster illustration of waterborne diseases and the pathogen involved designed by expert S Square members on Monday, March 22nd from 12 noon – 2:00 P.M. – Water Desalination Research Center Lobby area (Building 4, Level 4).

Last but not least, our monthly meeting to drive positive impact is this Sunday, March 21st from 5:30 - 6:30 pm near the I KAUST sign.

Make your own water treatment/filtration plant from a kit you will be given. This kit explores various ways to disinfect dirty water such as solar power and more! All ages are welcome.

"The Story of Water" Documentary Screening

The Story Of Water' is a documentary that focuses on the critical value of our most precious natural resource and explores the ongoing threats to its future - both globally and in Ireland. Featuring Ireland's coastal and inland waterways - as well as contributions from engineers, planners and consumers - the documentary explores the development and current state of Ireland's public water network, presenting a unique perspective on the ongoing national project to upgrade the country's drinking water supply and wastewater treatment.The movie will be followed by a discussion.
