1. Attend Courses on Sustainability

KAUST has the brightest minds coming together. Leverage this opportunity and attend one of the courses on sustainability offered in Fall 2021. From my experience, KAUST professors welcome both students and staff to audit their courses.

2. Share & Discuss Sustainable Shopping Habits with New Students

The incoming students will be offered a trip to IKEA on August 18, 4:30 - 10 pm as part of orientation activities, and we are looking for volunteers! If you are interested in sharing sustainable shopping habits and discussing critical topics on the way to Jeddah, please email me! This is a timely opportunity to influence how we consume things!

3. Join the Conversation about KAUST Open House on Sustainability

Come socialize and join our August meeting this coming Monday, the 9th at noon to learn about the preparation of the KAUST open house on Sustainability from the special guest, Naadiya Carrim, Research Engagement Manager, VPR Office of Research Planning and Partnerships. You will have the opportunity to engage in a fruitful discussion and know more about S Square's recent progress. Space is limited. Please register here.

4. Volunteer to Run Interactive Workshops

Do you like sharing your passion for science? To communicate your knowledge and skills to the public? This is your opportunity! We are looking for volunteers to run 3 interactive workshops during the KAUST Open House between Nov. 28th to Dec. 2nd. Participants will have their own green science kits and your responsibility is to guide them and provide more insights into the field. Below you will find a list of the kits. Please email me if you are interested.

5. Organize Sustainability Movie Nights

We still need a volunteer to take this role! Help S Square organize the movie nights at the discovery square by coordinating a list of movies and dates. We need your support to maintain this activity sustainably. This is an opportunity to create a simple but effective impact on the community. Would you please email me if you are interested?
