Dear sustainability family,
Every month brings us more exciting opportunities to make a positive impact! Please join the below activities to create a larger momentum of change or propose new ones that you would like to drive! We thrive together!
1. Join the Vegan Supper club
Students for Sustainability will be launching a Vegan Supper club on Saturdays (starting tonight) at 7 (or iftar time for Ramadan). The objective is to create a welcoming atmosphere to discuss sustainability issues with friends while eating eco-friendly food! Small groups will take turns preparing the meal each week. Sign up for a day at the following link. For any questions contact philip.mitchell@kaust.edu.sa. On the Thursday before the meal, I will send an email to everyone with the cooking duty to aid in meal planning. The event will be held outside and COVID precautions will be followed.
2. Attend Sustainability Seminar Series
You are invited to the 3rd webinar of the 2021 Sustainability Seminar Series on April 6th, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. titled A Transformational Journey through a Plant-Based Diet & the Future of Food Tech by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. Everyone is welcome. Register here now!
3. Volunteer for the National Beach Cleaning Pilot
Social Responsibility (SR) at KAUST, in partnership with Prince Badr bin Farhan Al Saud Foundation, is launching a strategic initiative for a national beach cleaning. On Saturday, April 10th, 2021, Socal Responsibility is going to run a pilot stage of beach cleaning before the official kick-off event later in May. The beach cleaning will be in Thuwal. Everything will be provided. Join us by registering here, limited number! Only vaccinated individuals with at least 1 does can participate.
4. Drive Celebration for Earth Day
Do you want to make something meaningful to celebrate our mother earth on its day, April 22nd, and put KAUST on the map? If you would like help planning for Earth Day, earthday.org offers a variety of resources to fit our needs:

5. Socialize in the Next S Square Monthly Meeting
Come and meet new friends to achieve great things that impact our social, economic and environmental aspects during our KAUST journey. Our next meeting will be during Raman, April 18th, 2021. So we will meet at 8:00 pm near the I LOVE KAUST sign in the Harbor Walk.
