Confidentiality of Your Records

• We recognize the right to determine who receives the disability-related information, and the student's right to the confidentiality of this information. We only share information if it is needed to arrange resources or supports; if required by law; or by request by the individual.

• To coordinate and administer any requested accommodation, it may be necessary to disclose the status as a student registered with Disability Services (DSO) to the appropriate faculty and staff. The degree of information that is required by University constituents regarding the disability is directly related to the nature of the accommodation and services required. When you register and set up an accommodation plan with us, you sign an agreement regarding accommodation and permission for DSO to discuss information related to educational and/or functional needs for the purpose of securing reasonable accommodations.
