Requesting accommodations will require a comprehensive evaluation that includes the following:

  • A diagnostic interview.
  • An assessment of aptitude using an adult-normed test.
  • Measurement of academic achievement and information processing.
  • Clear and specific evidence confirming or ruling out the presence of a learning disability or ADHD, substantiated by multiple tests.
  • Documentation of the current functional limitations of the disability within an educational setting.
  • A detailed explanation for each recommended accommodation, demonstrating how it addresses specific deficits resulting from the disability.
  • A specific diagnosis derived from the analysis of quantitative data, exhibited symptoms, and historical evidence.

Note: Please register with DSO even if there is no need for an accommodation plan at this time.

How Long Does This Process Take?

After submitting the Eligibility Form, it can take up to two weeks for us to follow up, to ensure we provide the best support possible.

For any  accommodation or services, it is helpful for us to hear from you as early as possible. Certain accommodation can take a few weeks to put into place and this can rely on making advance arrangements.

The sooner we can start working together on an accommodation plan, the more likely it will be in place by the time needed.
