Students for Sustainability group welcomes distinguished speakers to talk about current global issues about sustainability. Topics vary from current events in energy security and renewable energy to the impact of industry on ecosystems, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
Students for Sustainability attended the G20 workshop on Circular Carbon Economy (CCE) on 1-2 March, 2020. CCE is a signature priority of the Saudi Presidency, and it is a comprehensive approach for managing emissions across sectors and geographies.
SSquare Tours
Students for Sustainability organizes various tours, inside and outside the KAUST, in which attendees have a unique opportunity to obtain empirical knowledge about how critical processes and methods being operated by specialists in the background.
SSquare initiates different brainstorming sessions to discuss possible solutions for the current problems and give the stage to KAUSTians to bring their ideas.
WEP is a two- week program at KAUST that creates a lively and engaging atmosphere, taking us away from our regular activities and bringing together the KAUST community, in-Kingdom visitors and eminent speakers from around the world. SSquare team organised several insightful talks during the event.
